My definition of a Queen

So I’ve been calling you a queen, but I never really explained why I believe you are royalty. The definition of the word queen is the female ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right of birth. Now I can’t speak for all, but most of us do not rule any states. So that brings me to my definition of a queen. A queen is someone who believes they are precious jewels, and carry’s them selves as a lady no matter what. I know, that’s a very vague definition. So let’s digest. To be a queen is more than a statement. To be a queen is a feeling, and an attitude towards self. I can scream to the mountains that you are a queen. But if you do not feel it or believe it, my words won’t resonate. You have to decide if you are a queen. I decided that I would be a queen, and nothing else. When I see other queens, I respect their hustle not tear them down. When I see someone struggling, I lend a helping hand. When I look in the mirror every day I decide to love the woman I see staring back. When I go to work or put my name on anything, I decide I will give it my all. You see, we may not have the luxury to be born into royalty. But we do have the choice to carry ourselves as such. Choose to wake up in the morning every day, and know you’re that chick. Choose to love and respect yourself better than anyone else can. Choose the queen life. #queenlifechoseme
