Never allow your heart to be hardened
“Black women all over the world are shining. Practicing black girl magic, melanin on fleek, and thriving in their careers. But it is not their skin that makes them unique, but rather similar. However, It is their story and their journey that captivates people making each and every one special in their own way.” -Taylor Mills

Lessons learned from work…
“I feel as though God really has his hands in everything. What I experienced in my previous position is nothing compared to my new position. I’ve learned that everything last for a season. The military has also taught me that it is very important to love what you do. Don’t stay in a position forever just because you’re comfortable, do what makes you happy.” – Tierra Kirts
I am proudest of…
“I am proud that no matter what I’ve experienced in life, or what I’ve felt, I never allowed my heart to be hardened. I’ve learned that this is what strength looks like. The real strength is going through things, learning to forgive, learning not to take things so personally, and to continue to have an open heart for people.” – Tierra Kirts
Remember me as…
“I want to be remembered as a person that made every place I travel to better because I brought Jesus there. I want my people to feel that they are important, and
feel loved when they are interacting with me.” – Tierra Kirts
Traveling back in time…
“If I could travel back in time, I would tell my younger self to stop worrying about what people think. I spent most of my life in fear of what other people would think of me. There are a lot of opportunities and chances I would have taken if I didn’t live in fear. “ – Tierra Kirts
10 years from now…

Confidence to me is…
“Confidence to me is knowing who you are, and being confident with that. In this social media it is very easy to compare yourself to others. When you get to a place where you are happy for other peoples success, and can congratulate other people, without thinking less of yourself, to me that is confidence.” – Tierra Kirts
To be a black woman is…
“Any time I hear ‘black woman” the word strength comes to mind. I think it’s something very beautiful, and powerful about a black woman. No matter what I encounter as an individual, I know that’s what we do as a black women, we overcome things.” –Tierra Kirts
“To be a queen is to be a champion. Every queen wears their crown differently. Although our journeys make us unique, our destinations continue to make us the same.
